Gary Gill joins Sapere Forensic

Sapere Forensic welcomes Gary Gill as Director and Head of Investigations, based in our Sydney office.

Most recently, Gary was a partner and National Leader of the forensic practice at KPMG Australia. Prior to that, he was a partner at KPMG Canada, and led its Forensic practice in Vancouver.

According to Tony Samuel, Managing Director of Sapere Forensic, “Gary brings a wealth of experience to this newly-created role, and we are delighted to have someone of his calibre join the practice. His skills and extensive expertise in fraud, bribery, corruption and cyber-crime investigation will be a huge asset to our existing team”.

Head of Investigations is a new role within Sapere Forensic, and Gary will be focusing on conducting investigations for clients into matters involving corporate crime and misconduct, and advising clients in effectively managing related risks.

Gary is looking forward to leading the investigations team at Sapere. He says “Corporate crime and misconduct is unfortunately an ever-present risk for our clients – the findings of the recently concluded Royal Commission into misconduct in the financial services sector shows this. At Sapere Forensic we help our clients understand the facts when issues arise and put in place effective measures to mitigate risks”.

Gary is a graduate of University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, and a member of a number of professional bodies, including Chartered Accountants in Australia + New Zealand and CPA Canada.
