Daniel has a strong interest in analysis using code in economics and finance. In 2018 he was awarded First in Class for Economic Analysis of “Big Data” and a Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Latin America (PMSLA) for an overseas university course to study the economics of the Chilean and New Zealand wine industries. Daniel is the recipient of the Economic Society prize, awarded to the top graduating economist at the University of Canterbury.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, and joined the Sapere team as a Consultant in January 2020.
