Jeremy’s experience spans a range of diverse areas in both the public and private sectors, including cost-benefit analysis regulation design and evaluation, program evaluation, business case development, economic impact analysis, competition analysis, and macroeconomic forecasting.
He has provided economic expert witness evidence in matters in Australia, New Zealand and Portugal on matters as diverse as the pricing of copyright broadcasts and performances, the reasonableness of currency forecasts, the economic cost of strikes and the valuation of carbon credits.
Jeremy’s journey to Sapere was marked by his tenure as a Partner at PwC Australia, where he not only served as the Chief Economist but also led the national Economics and Policy team and served as the Canberra Office Managing Partner. His previous roles at The Allen Consulting Group, the Australian Department of Treasury in the Competition Policy Branch, and the Australian Industry (Productivity) Commission in the Office of Regulation Review further underscore his extensive experience and leadership in the field.
Reflecting his expertise across a range of industries and issues, Jeremy has led projects with teams in a range of countries (e.g. NZ, UK, US, Portugal, Switzerland, The Philippines, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, South Africa, Jamaica, and Saudi Arabia). In so doing he has led projects for a range of multilateral organisations: World Bank, World Intellectual Property Office, Global Infrastructure Hub, and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
