Sapere’s independent evaluation found that 1737 Need to Talk? mental health helpline, run by Whakarongorau Aotearoa, delivers a substantial Social Return on Investment (SROI) for Aotearoa New Zealand. Using a conservative approach, the study estimated a social return of about $9 for every $1 invested. 1737 is a highly valuable national mental health support service with benefits extending beyond individual users to society overall.
