Infrastructure Consenting for Climate Targets

A Sapere study has found that New Zealand is highly unlikely to be able to consent the infrastructure needed to meet its 2050 climate change targets. Even under optimistic scenarios we are on track to miss between 11-15 per cent of our targeted emissions reductions due to consenting delays.

Our project team consisted of David Moore, Dylan James, Corina Comendant, Mehrnaz Rohani, Kelvin Woock and Jeff Loan.

Listen to a podcast with Senior Managing Economist, Corina Comendant, discussing the report with Te Waihanga Chief Executive Ross Copland.
