Ashley specialises in quantitative analysis across a number of subject areas, including energy and resources, health, and infrastructure. He can make sense of large and complex data sets to produce analysis that can be used for robust decision making.

Ashley has previously worked at Transpower, where he managed financial and commercial operations for Energy Market Services, a specialist commercial operation within the larger Transpower group. Ashley worked at the Marketplace Company (M-co) for six years, finishing his time as Energy Services Manager responsible for the wholesale electricity market operations of pricing, clearing and reconciliation.

Ashley’s previous roles include economic statistician for the Department of Statistics, and researcher at the French Institute of International Relations.
