Cheryl is a Senior Associate in Sapere’s Forensic Accounting and Valuation team. She is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree from the University of Technology Sydney.

Cheryl specialises in forensic accounting across a broad range of matters. She is experienced in the preparation of expert reports for damages and valuation disputes.

Prior to joining Sapere, Cheryl was a Senior Associate in EY’s Claims and Disputes team and worked on disputes matters for companies across different industries such as Mining, Property Funds Management, Superannuation, Car finance and loans, Forestry managed investment schemes and Pharmaceutical.

  • Valuation of a mining business for the purpose of a tax dispute
  • Valuation of a property funds management business for the purpose of a tax dispute
  • Calculation of loss suffered by beneficiaries of a self-managed superfund
  • Investigation regarding the balance of investors’ funds remaining on trust after paying for establishment expenses
  • Calculation of compensation for the higher prices paid under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme following the grant of preliminary injunction which delayed generic entry into the market
