Josh is a Consultant at Sapere with skills in data analytics, economic and market analysis, econometrics, and regulatory and cost benefit analysis. He works across health, infrastructure, energy, and competition, applying rigorous economic thinking to improve outcomes for New Zealanders.

Josh combines strong quantitative skills with a practical, policy focused approach to economic analysis. His experience includes econometric modelling, panel data analysis, spatial analysis using geographic information systems, and the synthesis of evidence to support decision making. He is proficient in R, Stata, and Excel, and is comfortable working with large and complex datasets across a range of applied contexts.

Josh holds a Master of Commerce in Economics from the University of Canterbury. His master’s thesis examined how immigration and licensing policy shape labour market outcomes for overseas trained doctors in New Zealand.
