Sue is a chartered accountant with 25 years of forensic accounting experience working on a broad range of matters requiring objective analysis of documents and assessment of quantum. Sue’s experience includes the estimation of damages in commercial disputes, the review and analysis of issues in class actions and the quantification of loss in compensation claims arising from business interruption and land resumption. Sue has been instructed as expert and has given evidence in the Supreme Court of Hong Kong and the Supreme Court of Victoria. She has also been appointed in an advisory capacity to assist in disputes.
Sue is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia + New Zealand and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She holds a BCom from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and an LLB from the University of London.
Prior to joining Sapere, Sue worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong and with expert services firms LECG and CRA International in Melbourne.
Sue also sits on a number of boards and independent audit and risk committees. She is currently a non-executive board director of Melbourne Market Authority, a member of Courts Council, the governing body of Court Services Victoria, and chairs the audit and risk committees of both organisations. Sue is also an independent member of the Bureau of Meteorology Audit Committee.
