Sapere was asked to evaluate two pilot ambulance projects being trialled by St John and Wellington Free Ambulance in the Horowhenua and Kapiti.  The Urgent Community Care service involved highly skilled paramedics attending emergency incidents with the intention of treating patients at the scene and supporting the patient into community-based care.
