This interim report, prepared for the Health Quality & Safety Commission, evaluates the Safe Surgery NZ programme to review the effectiveness or success of the Commission’s programme against its aims.

In order to inform the future of the programme, it checks whether the programme provides value-for-money, realises its intended benefits, and whether it is a strategic fit for the Commission.

The final report was published in October 2017.
