Veronica has a strong background in public policy across a wide range of issues including science and technology, education, justice, social policy, natural resources, labour markets, standards and conformance and international trade. She has extensive experience at senior levels in government and wide consulting experience in Kenya, Cameroon, India, China, Thailand, Colombia, Chile and New Zealand.

With a background in both Law and Economics, Veronica brings a multidisciplinary lens to addressing complex policy problems. Her analysis is grounded on sound theoretical principles complemented with real-world empirical application. She is adept at getting to the bottom of tricky issues and providing clear, practical advice that can drive change and achieve results.

Veronica holds a DPhil (Economics), M SocSc (Economics), and LLB from the University of Waikato and a B SocSc (Economics) from Massey University. She is a former Chair of the New Zealand Government Economics Network and past President and life member of the Law and Economics Association of New Zealand.
